As of this moment, Christianity Makes Sense is now launched and open for the public! The site is currently in its infancy, but a lot of cool features are in development. Here are some of the things you can look forward to over the next few weeks:
1. Resources – A new section of the site featuring a constantly-updated collection of the best resources for exploring Christianity. I’m going to be providing links to articles, youtube videos, websites, and books, eventually make it possible to browse this content by topic. By only featuring top-tier content, it will not be exhausting to find what you need.
2. Blog Series: “Worldviews” – While the blog will regularly be updated with content on a variety of topics, I’m also planning to run series of blog posts that are thematically-linked. Currently, I’m working on a series called “Worldviews.” Beginning with Atheism, my plan is to highlight the strengths of various non-Christian worldviews and then graciously make an argument for why Christianity makes better sense of reality than they do. I’m also going to write on the subject of “doubt” and its proper place when considering the truthfulness of a worldview. By the end of this series, I hope you will be as convinced as I am that Christianity has greater explanatory power than any other system. I also hope you will walk away with a more positive outlook on people who think differently than you do. While some ideas are false, dangerous, and therefore must be challenged out of love for the person who holding them, we could all improve at appreciating the good intentions within worldviews and understanding the intelligent reasons put forth to support them.
3. Newsletter/Facebook – You can already sign up for the blog’s monthly newsletter and give the blog a “like” on the official Christianity Makes Sense Facebook page, but I am looking forward to developing them more. You can expect the first newsletter in February. With these tools, you will be able to stay connected to what is going on, have an easy way to contribute your feedback to the site, and manage how often you get updates.
4. Footnotes/Polish – I’m currently doing my best to rapidly put out new content for the site. However, quality is extremely important, and one of the values I have for this blog is that existing articles will be periodically updated with more polish. Thank you for your patience as I get every article up to academic citation standards and I incorporate more links/media.
Thanks for being here to celebrate the launch of Christianity Makes Sense! If you’re excited about the vision of this blog, please follow its progress and share about it with your friends.
With a grateful heart,
